Crazy Love by Francis Chan – Really interesting and challenging read! I recommend it.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer – I’m not a huge Twilight fan, but I saw the movie Thursday night with friends. Reading this was a nice refresher before seeing the movie, which was the best of the movies so far.

My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallison – Cute read, but almost all of the characters were a little unlikable. I did like how the fairy tales were incorporated into the story.

Wherever Nina Lies by Lynn Weingarten – An interesting book. It ended up being pretty predictable and I didn’t love any of the characters.

I’ve been a terrible blogger recently! I was kind of in a reading funk. For a while, I wasn’t really reading much at all, then I just wasn’t in the mood to write about what I was reading. I’m still kind of not in the mood, but I hate neglecting my blog! I have been keeping up with the pages across the top and my GoodReads profile. Anyway, I thought I’d just put together a list of the books I’ve read since I stopped blogging with a few thoughts.

Chicks Dig Time Lords edited by Lynne M. Thomas and Tara O’Shea - Really fun read if you like Doctor Who. There were parts that were too nostalgic for the old series for me, being a New Who fan. But it was cool to read about the fandom that existed then and the new fandom.

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver – Kind of Groundhog Day meets Mean Girls. I was pretty captivated while reading the book – I ended up staying up until 3 AM finishing it, but in the end, it left me a little empty and frustrated. Don’t want to spoil anything, but it didn’t end the way I wanted it to.

Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin – Apparently not super memorable because I am having trouble coming up with something to say about it. I remember liking it but not really loving it.

Deadly Little Secret (Touch, Bk 1) by Laurie Faria Stolarz – I liked this series, especially this first book. It was a bit Twilight-y, but I liked the main characters.

I haven’t done a Teaser in forever! Bad me. :)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read

Open to a random page

Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!

Share the title and author, too, so others can add the book to their TBR Lists if they want

My teaser:

I’m talking about sex a lot. That means I’ll start writing soon.

~Doctor Who: The Writer’s Tale (The Final Chapter) by Russell T Davies and Benjamin Cook, page 101

Rather random, huh? This book is long, but I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve made it my goal to finish it before I leave for Florida on Friday. (Braves Spring Training, woo!) I have about 150 pages left – that’s doable, though I am busy tonight and tomorrow and need to pack on Thursday. I’m ready to move on to books that don’t make my shoulder hurt when I carry them around in my purse.
